FRWD wins Best in Show Data

The odds proved to be in our favor this past week as FRWD took home three awards at The Show MN. Since the 1920’s, The Show has been the premiere advertising award show in Minneapolis, celebrating the top creative agencies in our area.

This year, the work was judged by four creative icons from throughout the country; John Biondi, Chief Experience Officer at Publicis, Tim Cawley, Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Sleek Machine, Cinzia Crociani, SVP Global Creative Director at Energy BBDO, and Tom Coates, Executive Creative Director at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners.

The night was filled with fortune telling, magic eight balls, and an array of gold cats, as the theme was luck; but this was no such luck as we attribute all of our winnings to the talented and intelligent people behind the work.

FRWD’s holistic approach of understanding the student journey when choosing a school caught the eye of the judges and won us a Bronze Pin for our work with Carlson School of Management. The work started with gathering an understanding of all the decision points that an MBA student hits, and then creating milestones for these points. Through targeted messaging through multiple channels at various touch points in the student journey, we were able to successfully raise admission conversion to an 843% increase over industry norms and take home the Bronze award in the Data Driven Media category.

Not only did our magic 8 ball reward us once in the Data Driven Media category, we also took Gold for our work with GOODFOODS. In partnership with Linqia, we created a campaign that leveraged influencer created content and used this content to build out a paid social and native campaign that would eventually lead to a 44% conversion rate through our native content and inspired over 70K clicks, likes, comments, retweets, and shares. Not only was this work awarded at The Show MN but also nominated for an award at the DigiDay Gala in New York.

FRWD believes in the collaboration between data and creative. Because of this effort, we are also excited to announce that we were awarded the “Best Of Data” award for our GOODFOODS work. We are honored and excited to be recognized among the many innovative and prolific agencies that were in the room with us on Friday night.
