Every year, FRWD takes in a group of interns over the summer. Whether it’s focusing on social media or learning the ins-and-outs of the programmatic space, each intern is designated one or two specific projects for the summer so they can become ingrained in the brand and industry in which they are learning. Hopefully, they leave with more knowledge on the industry, tactics, and brands they work on, as well as solid progress towards finding their career path. And, if we’re lucky, we’ll be able to find future full-time FRWDers!
For this summer, please welcome Jessica Robinson, Jacob Stockwell, Katie Mullenbach, Haley Goodrich, and Jake Sherer!
We asked each intern to tell us a little about themselves and what they want to accomplish here at FRWD this summer:
Jessica Robinson, Momentum/Research Intern
I recently graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a business law degree. This summer I will be working primarily with Dahl. My overall objective is to incorporate my legal background with newly developed project management skills. My goal is to become a well rounded employee before entering the agency world. I want to learn as much as I can from the project management and media team during my time here.
Jacob Stockwell, Programmatic Intern
I just finished my first year at Pensacola Junior Community College and I plan on getting a bachelor’s degree in computer science. This summer, during my second round as an intern at FRWD, I plan on learning all about programmatic, packaging and presenting campaigns for potential clients.
Katie Mullenbach, Social Media Intern
I plan on graduating from the University of Minnesota this December, so I want to absorb as much as possible here this summer. I am very excited to be working on The Truth Bar social team. My goal is to learn how to execute social media projects and how to effectively increase social engagement for different clients, as well as become proficient in various platforms.
Haley Goodrich, Research/Analytics Intern
This summer, I would love to learn how to interact with clients and what it is like to work in a professional workplace. My goal is also to get Google Analytics certified and become proficient in as many programs as possible. Someday I would like to work for a consulting company or as an elementary educator.
Jake Sherer, Research/Analytics Intern
This summer I want to learn the basics of analytics. I want to learn what it’s like to work for an agency and how similar is it to Mad Men. I’m excited to be working with Tyson because I want to know what it’s like to market a product. In the future I see myself as a team skier.
Patrick Clark, Media/Finance Intern
I just graduated from The Blake School. This spring and I will be heading to the University of Notre Dame in the fall. This summer, I will be splitting time working with media and finance here at FRWD Co. I plan on studying business, so I am glad to have the chance to gain experience in multiple fields before heading to college.
Alicia Jimerson, Creative Intern
I recently graduated Fair Downtown. This summer I will be learning photography and working with several brands including WARHEADS and Dunn Brothers Coffee. I’m excited to learn the process of how advertisements are created and what it is like to work at a smaller agency. I hope that all the skills I acquire this summer will lead to a future career in marketing after college.
